Investment Thesis

Our Approach to Oil & Gas

Black Harbor Group invests selectively across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and natural gas opportunities.

Our strategy recognizes the distinct economic characteristics of crude oil, natural gas, refined products, and liquefied natural gas. Rather than concentrating on a single commodity or operating segment, we evaluate assets according to their production quality, infrastructure position, customer demand, operating requirements, contractual protections, and sensitivity to market prices.

Oil & Gas Investment
Focus

Areas of Investment

Oil and Gas Production

Producing oil and natural gas properties in established basins with verifiable production histories, capable operators, realistic reserve estimates, and opportunities to improve operating performance.

Mineral and Royalty Interests

Mineral rights, overriding royalties, and other production-linked interests that provide economic participation without requiring Black Harbor to operate the underlying wells directly.

Pipelines and Gathering Systems

Infrastructure transporting crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids from producing regions to processing, storage, refining, and end-user markets.

Processing and Storage

Natural gas processing plants, compression systems, crude and refined-product storage, fractionation facilities, and related assets supporting reliable product movement.

LNG Infrastructure

Liquefaction, storage, feed-gas, marine-loading, and supporting logistics assets connected to domestic or international natural gas markets.

Refining and Fuel Distribution

Refineries, bulk terminals, fuel-distribution systems, and selected downstream assets serving commercial, industrial, transportation, and consumer demand.

Structure

Investment Structures

Black Harbor may invest through direct acquisitions, joint ventures, structured capital, asset-backed financings, royalties, or corporate carve-outs. We seek opportunities where experienced ownership, operational improvement, responsible development, or transaction certainty can create value.

We do not assume that contractual revenues eliminate commodity, volume, or counterparty risk. Every investment must remain supportable under conservative operating and pricing scenarios.

Our objective is to build balanced exposure to essential oil and natural gas assets while maintaining discipline across acquisition price, leverage, environmental responsibility, asset quality, and long-term market relevance.
